
THE HISTORY OF MIRNE
The history of MIRNE begins with the story of the plight of the 1994 genocide in
THE ORGIN OF MIRNE
In the midst of plight and pain of the genocide and in a search for meaning, Pastor François NKURUNZIZA got a revelatory message from the Lord in Isaiah 45:1-3 ("This is what the Lord says to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I take hold of to subdue nations before him and strip kings of the armor, to open doors before him so that gates will not be shut: I will go before you and will level the mountains; I will breake down gates of bronze and cut through bars iron. I will give the treasures of darkness, riches stored in secret places, so that you may know that I am the Lord, the God of Israel, who summons you by name.") . This scripture bore the light for him to see the possibility and the provision of the ministry. That was in 1995.
THE GROWTH OF MIRNE
MIRNE was born when at its initial stages in 1995, it worked to help widows at Gikondo-Kigali. At that same time, MIRNE also set up a nursery school to help widows and poor families cope up with the high cost of education in public schools. That was during 1995-1998.
In 1995, MIRNE organized a one-day Unity and Reconciliation conference at Hotel des diplômates
In 1996, MIRNE organised a one-day follow-up conference on unity and reconciliation, at Hotel Mille Collines with participant again coming from among church leaders, politicians, and members of the civil society.
In 1997, MIRNE organised a ten-days Unity and Reconciliation Seminar for church leaders at Scripture Union-Kacyiru,
In 1998, members of the organising team of MIRNE went to Bujumbura-Burundi and ran a similar seminar on unity and reconciliation for church and government leaders. This seminar took a whole week; it was hosted at Scripture Union-Bujumbura.
In 1998, MIRNE planted
In 2002, MIRNE organised a seminar for pastors at Gikongoro-Rwanda, with the sponsorship of World Vision-Rwnda. It was attended by about 60 pastors from protestant, Evangelical, Catholic, and other churches.

In 2002, MIRNE organised a support to victims
of volcanic eruption in Goma-Congo.

MIRNE has also supported a church
( LIVING BREAD CHURCH ) in Goma-Congo
even before the volcanic eruption.
