2004 CHRISTMAS DAY
54 PEOPLE BAPTISED (25th DEC 2004)
This took place at Bethel Church early morning of 25th December 2004 before Christmas service commenced, when 54 new converts were baptised. It was a moment of great joy and happiness; being also a great event in the spritual growth of the church. Before this, we were travelling nearly 65 km to take believers for baptism in lake Muhazi. It was hard and costly. But now, the church has acquired its own baptistry. "Now the Lord has given us room and we will flourish in the land (Rehoboth)" Gen. 26:22.
CHRISTMAS PARTY FOR KIDS (25th DEC 2004)
This was also a great day for the children of Bethel Church and their friends. They were very happy and thankful to the Lord that as the Lord blesses the whole Church, He does not forget them. Before the Lord blessed us with a large place, the children had no place of their own. The children were very happy and gave exciting testimonies due to the fact that the Lord has given them their own Church - big enough to accomodate 300 of them.
At this event, children first attended adult church, where they conducted the part of the service by singing and acting some Christmas plays. Thereafter, they were blessed by the whole church; (Above picture right: Pastor François praying for them). They received gifts from the Church and their parents before returning to their Church.
